Berenberg Verlag

The Berenberg Verlag was founded by Petra and Heinrich von Berenberg in 2004. Their first four books appeared in the autumn of 2004, and subsequently between three and five titles have appeared in each half-year period. Their list is largely made up of literature offering biography and autobiography, essays and memoirs – with the emphasis very much on the literary quality of the books! Starting in 2010, the Berenberg assortment has also included belles-lettres by German-speaking authors such as Christine Wunnike, and by outstanding international authors such as Héctor Abad from Columbia, Selva Almada from Argentina and Eliot Weinberger from New York.
