Carlsen is one of Germany’s leading publishers of children’s books, books for young adults, comic books, graphic novels, manga and humour. For more than sixty years Carlsen have been publishing books and illustrations that entertain but also stimulate and inform their readers – books that are full of surprises! Driven by sheer passion, Carlsen produce hardback and digital books in a vast range of different forms and formats. Germany’s Carlsen Verlag was founded in 1953 by Per Hjald Carlsen as an affiliate of the Danish company Illustrationsforlaget/PIB, and belongs today to the Swedish Bonnier Group.
